Are you asking yourself the right questions? How self awareness helps with self care

Self-care is very personal, and what might work for someone else might not work for you. Knowing this information can make it a challenge to create a routine that works for you. However I think one of the things that can help you dig deeper is self awareness!

That's the answer. For you to put the apporiate tools in your self care tool box its going to require deep introspection. You have to know yourself in order to take care of yourself.



So to help you get started in becoming more self-aware, here are some journal prompts that you can start using.



  1. What is currently clouding my mind right now?

  2. How am I feeling today? mind and body

  3. What‘s going to bring me joy today?

  4. Am I drained? If so, what can I do to make me feel like me again?

  5. When was the last time I ate a whole meal?

  6. Did I drink water today?

  7. What am I longing for?

  8. Do I have any boundaries? If so, have you enforced them?

  9. What can I celebrate today?

  10. How do I show myself grace?

  11. What makes me feel depleted?

  12. What puts me in a good mood?

  13. What do I need more of in my life?

  14. What do I need less of in my life?

  15. Does my current self-care practices align with my values?

  16. How do you want to show up in the world?

  17. Are the people in my life bringing me down or lifting me up?

  18. When was the last time you unplugged?

  19. Do you have goals? What are they? What does your progress look like?

  20. What am I grateful for?

  21. What can I let go of?


Remember you are a priority, and you are allowed to take care of yourself.
